For a stable front end.

Raise the front of your vehicle and increase suspension comfort on the front axle.

Commercial vehicle chassis such as the Fiat Ducato, Ford Transit, Iveco Daily and Mercedes Sprinter are primarily designed by manufacturers for commercial freight transport. The construction of these chassis is practical, robust and designed for varying payloads – but not for the permanent load caused by heavy bodies or add-on equipment. Motorhomes with alcoves or large panoramic windscreens in particular subject the standard coil springs on the front axle to continuous, high levels of stress. The consequences are a lowered front end, limited suspension travel, harsh bottoming out over uneven surfaces and a noticeable impairment of driving comfort and safety. In addition, the vehicle interior is unnecessarily subjected to stronger impacts. This is where our reinforced suspension systems come in: they replace weak standard springs, provide lasting vehicle stability and create the basis for a relaxed, comfortable and safe travel experience.

On the Fiat Ducato, the standard McPherson struts are professionally removed and the often overloaded original springs are replaced with more powerful Goldschmitt coil springs. This targeted Chassis Technology optimisation raises the front axle by several centimetres, noticeably increases the available suspension travel and sustainably improves handling. The result: significantly greater driving comfort, a more stable road position and a noticeable increase in driving safety.

More comfort and stability on the front axle.

Reinforced Goldschmitt coil springs were specially developed for motorhomes whose standard springs cannot adequately absorb high continuous loads. Replacing the original springs raises the vehicle by several centimetres at the front axle. This additional suspension travel ensures more harmonious driving characteristics, a more stable road position and reduces impacts that would otherwise be transmitted to the driver, passenger or sensitive interior fittings. Potholes and uneven road surfaces are compensated for much more effectively, noticeably increasing comfort and safety. To further enhance driving comfort, we also offer targeted optimisation options for the rear axle. This is where our air suspension systems come into play: they can be adapted to the respective load, selectively raise the rear of the vehicle and provide precise suspension travel control. In combination with our front axle springs, this creates a fully coordinated chassis concept that noticeably optimises both driving safety and comfort – especially with permanently high payloads or heavy bodies.

Proven in leisure and commercial applications.

It is not only motorhomes that benefit from Goldschmitt’s high-performance suspension and Chassis Technology. Pick-ups, service and emergency vehicles, municipal transporters and off-road vehicles with heavy front-mounted equipment also gain significantly in stability from reinforced coil springs. For example, installing stronger front axle springs on the Isuzu D-Max creates the basis for the reliable operation of snowploughs, sweepers and spreaders. Even under demanding operating conditions, handling remains controlled, robust and comfortable. Many motorhomes are already operating close to their weight limits. For numerous models, our reinforced suspension systems create the technical basis for a possible Payload Upgrade – provided that a sufficiently load-bearing wheel and tyre combination is available or appropriately retrofitted. This creates additional payload capacity while maintaining a stable axle-load distribution and consistently safe handling. Professional installation and individual adaptation to the respective application profile can be carried out at our Goldschmitt Technik-Centers on request. There, our specialists analyse your vehicle’s load situation and recommend the technically optimum solution for greater comfort, safety and reserves.

Vehicles with high front axle loads – from motorhomes to commercially used transporters and municipal vehicles – benefit from our reinforced coil springs. They generally replace the standard suspension, noticeably increase driving comfort and provide greater stability and control even with heavy front-mounted equipment.

Optimised driving comfort for lightweight camper vans.

Chassis Technology is a complex subject – often, the devil is in the detail. Even a seemingly “correct” spring solution can have the opposite effect if the vehicle weight, axle loads or intended use are not taken into account. That is why sound, individual advice is crucial. You can compare it to visiting a doctor: the patient describes their symptoms, and the doctor prescribes the appropriate medicine. The same applies to the chassis: uncomfortable handling on the front axle can be caused by springs that are either too weak or oversized. To find the right solution, the actual weight of the front axle, including occupants, must be known – only then can the appropriate “medicine” be used. Our reinforced coil springs are used when high front axle loads overstress the standard springs. With lightweight camper vans based on the Fiat Ducato, however, the opposite may be the case: many drivers find the standard suspension too hard. Our RouteComfort provides the solution: a combination of a comfortable coil spring and an intelligent shock absorber with damping-force adjustment. The result is noticeably quieter, more harmonious and more comfortable handling. For thoroughly harmonious handling, it is also worth looking at the rear axle. For the Fiat Ducato and the identical models from Citroën, Peugeot and Opel, we offer a combination of lightweight GRP leaf springs and auxiliary air suspension. It provides a gentle, pleasantly tuned suspension that significantly enhances the vehicle’s overall driving comfort. And it can be even more comfortable: with our auxiliary air suspension, you can either adjust the air pressure manually or use the innovative RHC® control system, which automatically regulates the ideal ride height or adjusts it at the touch of a button. This gives you comfortable suspension combined with fully automatic levelling – for maximum driving comfort in every situation.

CamperPLUS – Affordable complete packages at a low price.

The RouteComfort combination for the front and rear axles provides a harmonious driving experience for lightweight camper vans and panel vans based on the Fiat Ducato, as well as the identical Citroën Jumper, Peugeot Boxer and Opel Movano models. At the same time, it enables both the axle loads and the permissible gross vehicle weight to be increased. Discover our attractive CamperPLUS packages: each variant includes the RouteComfort struts for the front axle and, as an additional option, auxiliary coil springs (CamperPLUS Basic), auxiliary air springs (CamperPLUS Smart) or the RouteComfort package for the rear axle, consisting of auxiliary air suspension and GRP leaf springs (CamperPLUS Comfort). The CamperPLUS Smart and Comfort packages are available either with manually controlled auxiliary air suspension or with our RHC® control system, which can also be operated conveniently and intuitively via smartphone app.
