Leveling at the push of a button.

A level and stable foundation is essential for the comfort, safety, and value retention of a motorhome. This is exactly where our HLC® Smart lift support system comes in. The innovative hydraulic system automatically compensates for uneven ground and brings your vehicle safely, stress-free, and precisely to a level position in no time. Specially developed to meet the demands of modern motorhomes, camper vans, and specialty vehicles, the HLC® Smart combines precise hydraulics with intelligent control technology. At the push of a button, the lift supports extend and level the vehicle gently—protecting the body—while providing high stability. The system’s functionality goes far beyond mere leveling: It ensures lasting, secure support and noticeably reduces movement within the vehicle. This allows you to enjoy significantly more peace and comfort at typical campsites—whether you’re living, sleeping, or working.

Automatic leveling with system logic designed to protect the vehicle body.

In automatic mode, the HLC® Smart first analyzes the vehicle’s current position. Based on this data, the integrated software independently determines the order in which the individual hydraulic cylinders are extended. Two supports are always activated simultaneously to prevent twisting of the vehicle frame and to provide optimal protection for the body. The lifting process is performed with the shortest possible extension stroke, thereby reducing both mechanical stress and energy consumption.
Within a few moments, the vehicle is positioned exactly level and securely supported. This fully automatic operation not only offers a high level of convenience but also enhanced safety—especially when parking locations change frequently or during extended periods of inactivity. For added convenience, a custom sleeping position and a position for optimal fuel tank drainage are preconfigured and saved during installation in consultation with the customer. These can be conveniently accessed at any time with the push of a button and customized as needed.

The following is a simplified illustration of how automatic leveling works: For clarity, the leveling steps for the longitudinal and transverse axes are shown separately. In practice, however, tilting usually occurs in both directions simultaneously. The HLC® Smart takes this overall situation into account and automatically aligns the vehicle by considering both axes.

Leveling the longitudinal axis.

The leveling process begins at the push of a button. First, the front lift struts extend in pairs and lift the vehicle in a controlled manner until the longitudinal axis is level. The rear lift struts then provide stable support.

Leveling the transverse axis.

The leveling process begins at the push of a button. The lift struts on one side of the vehicle extend in pairs and compensate for the tilt of the transverse axis. The opposite side provides stabilizing support during this process.

Manual functions for specific needs.

In addition to automatic mode, the HLC® Smart offers extensive manual control options. These are used whenever you intentionally want to deviate from perfect horizontal alignment or from predefined positions. In manual mode, you retain full control over your vehicle at all times. The hydraulic cylinders can be selected in pairs and controlled precisely and continuously, allowing you to adjust the height and tilt individually while protecting your vehicle’s body. Whether for fine-tuning after automatic leveling or for special requirements—every support movement is executed precisely according to your specifications. For example, you can deliberately position the vehicle at a slight angle to optimize water drainage or adjust it to your personal comfort level while standing or sleeping. Even in challenging parking spots, manual mode allows for flexible alignment that goes beyond simple leveling. This versatility makes the HLC® Smart appealing not only to RV travelers but also for commercial applications—such as service vehicles, broadcast trucks, and sales, presentation, or emergency response vehicles—where defined working or service positions are required.

Reliable stabilization rather than mere altitude compensation.

Unlike wheel chocks or simple leveling solutions, the HLC® Smart not only ensures a level stance but also provides genuine and stable support for the vehicle. While chocks can compensate for a certain amount of height difference, the suspension system remains active and continues to cause noticeable rolling motions, especially when getting in or moving around inside the vehicle. The HLC® Smart takes this a decisive step further: It not only levels the vehicle but also effectively neutralizes the suspension—which is necessary while driving but undesirable when stationary—during parking. As a result, the vehicle is stably supported directly by the hydraulic cylinders and decoupled from the suspension. Movements when entering the vehicle or moving around inside are significantly reduced—a noticeable difference from the very first moment. The vehicle remains calm and stable: no swaying, no rebound, and no disturbing noises from the suspension or body. This creates a significantly more pleasant sense of space, especially on uneven surfaces or when there is movement inside the vehicle. Any feelings of dizziness that might be caused by slight swaying are also noticeably minimized. The result is significantly greater living comfort—whether you’re moving around, relaxing, or sleeping in the vehicle.

Keep track of your vehicle’s weight at all times.

Of course, the primary function of a jack stand system is to reliably level and securely support your vehicle. The HLC® Smart also offers a special additional feature: the integrated weighing function. It determines both the total weight of your vehicle and the load distribution across the individual axles. This allows you to keep track of your load at all times and detect overloading early on—a noticeable improvement in driving safety and an effective way to avoid potential fines during weight inspections. The weighing function is fully integrated into the system and requires no separate module. Should the available payload ever prove insufficient, we’ll of course be happy to assist you with a suitable payload upgrade.
