Since August 1, 2026, Michael Schmitz and Sebastian Balda have jointly managed Goldschmitt techmobil GmbH. Both bring many years of experience from positions of responsibility within the Erwin Hymer Group and possess extensive expertise in the areas of development, technology, and strategic corporate management. Michael Schmitz has been working as Technical Director at the Erwin Hymer Group for many years and has been responsible for numerous development and design projects. Sebastian Balda has assumed the role of Technical Managing Director at Goldschmitt. Previously, he headed Research & Development (R&D) at EHG Technology, the technology center of the Erwin Hymer Group, and likewise gained extensive experience in senior research and development positions. Together, Michael Schmitz and Sebastian Balda will drive forward the strategic direction and technological advancement of our company.

The new leadership structure represents more than a change at the top of the company. As part of the strategic development of the Erwin Hymer Group, we will work even more closely with EHG Technology in the future. Our aim is to pool development expertise, testing capabilities, and innovative strength in a targeted manner and to consistently leverage synergies within the group. Michael Schmitz and Sebastian Balda have succeeded Markus Siegel and Markus Mairon. Markus Siegel had been part of the management team since 2015, and Markus Mairon since 1990. Both played a decisive role in shaping the development of our company and made a significant contribution to our innovative strength and Goldschmitt’s sustainable growth. The change in leadership is part of the company’s strategic succession planning. Markus Siegel and Markus Mairon have taken on advisory roles before leaving the company permanently in January 2027.
