Underneath the body of a motorhome, there is usually a conventional van chassis \u2013 but its design often does not meet the requirements of a wide motorhome body or a professionally operated special-purpose vehicle. In motorhomes in particular, the combination of a tall body and a raised centre of gravity results in a narrow track, which can affect the driving experience, especially in crosswinds, ruts or on uneven roads. Operators of commercial vehicles, ambulances and municipal service vehicles face similar challenges.
